European Slash/Transition program: Empirical project exploring the relationship between sound artists and territories in transition.

We are a group of 4 students from L'Ecole de Design de Nantes Atlantiques.
As part of Slash transition, we set out to find a sensitive way of documenting and observing how an artist's residency at L'Art Rue in Tunis is organized and prepared.
We were in Tunis from October 20 to 25, a week before Larie's arrival, a Portuguese sound artist originally from Brazil. We therefore didn't have the opportunity to meet them, nor to observe their residency live.

Following in the footsteps of their absence, this initial constraint eventually turned into fertile ground, and into a conscious decision not to contact Larie, but rather to try and understand what they went through, their artistic and human journey, the people behind the scenes preparing their arrival, the people they had already met during the study visit, etc. In short, to follow in their footsteps.
In short, to follow in their footsteps, and discover them through the eyes of the people who have paved the way.

This site, organized around the major concepts that emerged from our exchanges, offers a forum for dialogue between the people who, in one way or another, gave shape to the Slash transition project.
